Adobong Kangkong

Kangkong (swamp cabbage) is one of my favorite vegetables. I love this in sinigang. In the Philippines we planted a dryland variety of kangkong. Since I am used to eating kangkong in the Philippines, it is but normal for me to miss this. Unfortunately, there is no kangkong for sale in our area. But when we went to Mobile, I was so happy to find bunch of it in the Asian store. I gladly bought some and splurge myself eating adobong kangkong. I am not alone eating kangkong because Andrea likes it too!

Ingredients:
garlic
onion
soysauce
pepper
kangkong leaves
salt to taste

Directions:
Cut kangkong leaves from the stalk. Cut some stalks too (only the softer part). Wash thoroughly. Sautee garlic and onion. Add kangkong stalks, add soy sauce and season with pepper and salt to taste. Add the kangkong leaves and cook until done.
