Travel to Other Parts of the World, On Hold

With our scheduled travel to the Philippines in February, other out of the country trips will have to wait. But honestly, I would like to travel as much as I can before my daughter starts schooling because once she is in school, our expenses will be partly going to her school fees, tuition, and other school needs. Before she enters school, I would like to see some parts of the world like the Latin Americas, particularly Chile. Last year’s mining tragedy brought Chile into the limelight and I wonder if the Chile tourism industry has boomed after that. I would like to try patagonia tours and see Chile and probably get a glimpse of that mining area. Or if not, try to travel puerto montt and find out what’s in store for us there.

Well for now, this will only be in my bucket list but I really do wish to travel before another pie gets into our family budget, and that is my daughter’s schooling. But then I guess I can wait. By that time that we get to see the other parts of the world, my daughter will be big enough to appreciate the scenes and views. By that time, I would have saved a lot from my earnings online. So, traveling will have to stand by for now.

Missing Filipino Foods

Despite being able to buy different kinds of foods here in America, my local tastebuds still misses the basic and very common foods in the Philippines. I miss the fresh fish in the market. I miss the fresh vegetables in our backyard and I miss the local fruits too. I never would have thought that I will miss them because I remember how I despise eating them everyday of my life.

Anyhow, I can't wait for our vacation next year. I plan on going home ahead of my hubby so that I can spend longer days in the Philippines together with Andrea. We plan to come home even if it is just 1 week ahead and that will enable us to spend more time with my family and enjoy our vacation.

This will be the first time that I will be traveling alone internationally and with a kid. I am glad that my layover will be in Chicago because they have airport shuttle that I can ride when I transfer from different airport terminals. I just wish that all airports have shuttle services like chicago airport shuttle service because it can help the travelers be comfortable during terminal transfers. Though it will be hard to travel alone, I know I can do it.

Dreaming of a European Vacation

One of the places I want to go to is the United Kingdom . I have always been fascinated with princes and princesses, of castles and palaces, and the best place to see all of these is the United Kingdom particularly in Scotland . I’ve only seen Scotland in travel shows in TV and it seems like it is really a wonderful place to explore. My daughter would surely be amazed to see castles and modern day palaces if we ever get there. Scotland is so rich in history and I think that a week would not be enough to see all the amazing sights and tourist destinations. If that’s the case, probably renting Edinburgh Apartments would save me money than to stay in hotels.


Now that my eagerness to see that place, I’ve search online for affordable Apartments in Edinburgh and definitely found a whole lot of them. I’ve done my research so that when that time will come that we will travel to Europe , I can already plan my budget. I know this will not be that soon but when that day will come, I am pretty sure that it will be one of the best family vacations we will ever have.

Australia: The Land Down Under

One of the places that I have always wanted to go to is Australia, the land down under. I’ve heard and seen a lot about this place and some of my friends have already been there and they stories that they have shared about Australia has made me drool and make me wanting more to go there. I have friends too who live there and they told me that the standards of living in Australia are comparable to living in the United Kingdom.

Australia, I’ve known is one of the best places to live too. It’s also one of the richest nations in the world. It is a vast nation where natural resources abound and has a very rich culture. Many people flock to Australia every year to see the wonders of this great country. Travel to Australia is also very accessible since there are many international flights available daily from across the globe. Many airline companies also have direct flights to and from Australia, like Singapore airlines and United Airlines. Traveling within Australia is also not a problem since there are cheap flights offered by the many local airlines.

One of these days, I’m going to treat myself and my family a grand vacation to the land down under. I will really be saving for that.
