Kumato
Kumato is grown in Spain, France, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland, Canada and Mexico by specially selected growers. The Kumato is a trade name given to the variety of tomato developed in Spain called "Olmeca".
Kumatoes have a stronger, harder skin than a regular tomato, and therefore a longer shelf life. Kumato type tomatoes are considered gourmet tomatoes.
Personally, kumato taste different. It even tasted bland for me. I guess because I am used to the taste of regular tomatoes. We were just curious when we saw these kumato in the grocery store that was why we bought and tried it.
