ESCABECHE
(Sweet and Sour Fish)
(Sweet and Sour Fish)
Anyhow, here's how to make escabeche....
Ingredients:
Whole fish (deep fried)
garlic
onion
black pepper
ginger (finely sliced)
carrots
bell pepper
pineapple chunks
corn starch (dissolve in water)
sugar
vinegar
water
Directions:
- Deep fry fish and set aside.
- Saute ginger, garlic and onion.
- Add carrots, sugar, vinegar, and water. Season with pepper. Bring to boil.
- Add bell pepper and pineapple chunks. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Add dissolve corn starch to thicken the sauce.
- Pour over the fish.
- Serve

Hi lulu, ang sarap naman ng escabeche na ito. my friend had one this noontime and it was nice. i love the sweet and sour taste at sinisipsip ko talaga ang ulo just for the love of it. :)

Gosh craving talaga ako sa sweet and sour, lalu nakung lapu lapu.. sa pinas lang kasi ako nakakakain nyan eh.. thanks sa recipe, ma-try nga minsan. Pwedi naman kahit anong fish siguro, basta masarap ang sauce.. Thanks Momma ganda..
OT: di ako aware about sa reflux pero now alam ko na, thanks.. atleast now, its over at she eats whatever.. sana nga ganun din si baby para wala ako problem.

Na parehas tau sis, lahat na ata ng meat or fish dito nka file.. usually mga tau dito d kumakain ng fish or meat with bones hehehe..d kagaya sa tin, anyway it was long time ago since nkatikim ako ng escabeche, maybe it´s time for me to try it maybe tomorrow hehe if we find fish with bones hehe..have a good weekend :P..

Here in Canada most of the groceries carries whole fish na frozen nga lang pero tilapia is very popular na rin sa grocery store.
