Smoked Chicken

I have been trying new recipes and been enjoying and discovering new tastes. Smoked chicken is one of the "first time" recipes that i did that Dave and I both liked.

I mainly cooked for myself and Dave for dinner so my Ingredients is always not measured because i just cook for the two of us... Andrea also like to take a bite of it though...hahaha

Ingredients:
2 chicken leg quarters
pepper
garlic
salt
lemon
thyme
smoking bag

Directions:

Remove all fats from the chicken. Season it with garlic, salt, pepper, thyme and lemon. Marinade for at least 1 hour. Put inside the smoking bag and seal. Put the bag inside the oven in the lowest rack. Heat oven in 500F. Open oven in lock position for 15 minutes. Close the oven and lower the temperature to 350F. Cook for 1hour. Let it set outside the oven for 10 minutes. Serve. (note: please be careful opening the bag because the stem might burn your hands).
The good thing with this recipe, even if you don't own a smoker, the chicken really taste and smells like it is smoked.
