Store Brand Infant Formula

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of PBM Products. All opinions are 100% mine.

Few days ago, parents are shocked to know that Similac are being recalled because of contamination. It was believed that certain lots of Similac powdered baby formula may contain beetles or their larvae. How horrible is that? This only shows that buying pricey brands of formula does not guarantee quality and safety. So why spend a lot of money to those branded formula when you can buy store brand formula for a lot less? There are store brand infant formulas sold at retailers including Walmart, Sam’s Club, Target, Kroger, Walgreens, CVS, and Babies “R” Us. These formulas meet the same nutritional value with other brand names.

It is safe to buy store brand formula because all infant formulas are subject to the same exacting standards of the FDA pursuant to the Infant Formula Act. Therefore, the nutrition of Parent’s Choice Advantage Infant Formula is similar to Similac Advance. They both contain prebiotics to help support baby’s immune system. They contain all nutrients, vitamins and minerals for growth and development including DHA & ARA, which may support brain and eye development. With the price difference, it is now the best time to switch to generic formula.

If you are using Similac for your little one, take a moment to check the formula's lot number to make sure that it is not part of the recalled lot. As parents, we should all be vigilant for the safety of our kids and that includes making sure that the baby products we are using are safe for them.
