Hoisin Sauce

Hoisin sauce is soy-based and regularly used in Chinese dishes, as well as stir-fry recipes. The ingredients in a typical bottle of hoisin sauce are soybean paste, garlic, vinegar, and various spices such as chili peppers. It is a perfect for barbecues. This sauce is commonly used in cooking Peking Duck. The flavor of this sauce can be described as sweet, salty, and spicy.

I was never familiar with this sauce until I read recipes in magazine. I have 2 jars of hoisin in my kitchen and tonight I am going to cook a pork tenderloin in hoisin sauce glaze.
