Food Trip Friday # 1

I remember few months ago that I was invited to join this weekly meme but I was busy then. This time around, I am joining the Food Trip Friday.

For my first entry, I want to share one of my most missed filipino snack item. I remember my Mom always makes this especially during special occasions.

This is SUMAN... It is a sticky rice semi-cooked in a lot of sugar and coconut milk wrapped in banana leaves then cooked again until it is done.... This is really good when eaten with hot coffee or hot chocolate.

There is another version of this food. For a different variety of this recipe, some would cook it with a lot of ginger, salt, sugar and coconut milk. ( Personally, I like it better with ginger and salt)
