Chicken and Thyme

This is the first meal that I cooked for Dave. Actually, I was so curious when I cooked this, since I don't know what thyme was. When we went to the grocery to buy the ingredients, that was then that I noticed that there are so many dried herbs for cooking here.

The recipe was so good, that this became one of our favorites.

Ingredients:
Whole chicken
3 Potatoes (cut in cubes)
1 carrot (cut in chunks)
1 med onion (cut in quarter)
dried thyme
garlic salt
black pepper
tbsp butter (melted)

Directions:
Clean the whole chicken thoroughly. Remove all the guts inside. Pat dry. Season with garlic salt and pepper. Bake uncover in 350F for 1 hour.

Remove from the oven. Put onion, potatoes and carrots around the chicken. Season the vegetables with garlic salt and pepper. Mix melted butter and thyme. Drizzle it over chicken and vegetable. Cover and cook for 45 minutes or until chicken is done. Let it cool and serve. Careful when opening as the steam might burn your hands.
