Chicken and Dumplings

Chicken and Dumplings is one of Dave's favorite. He grew up eating this. John (Dave's brother) forwarded me a recipe long time ago for easy chicken and dumplings. I made my own variations though. Sometimes, I just use different parts of the chicken, whichever is on sale on the grocery store. I admit, I am a practical buyer, whatever is on sale on the grocery store, I always end up buying it.

Ingredients:
3 chicken (split) breast
garlic salt
pepper
1 cup half and half
dumplings

Directions:
Boil chicken in pot with 3 quarts of water seasoned with garlic salt and pepper. When done remove chicken from the pot, remove all the chicken meat and discard bones and skin. Set aside. Bring to boil the chicken stock. Add dumplings one by one. Lower heat and cook for 10 minutes. Stir frequently to avoid from sticking. Add chicken meat and half and half. Season with more pepper. Simmer for another 10 minutes. Serve.

Note: For Dumplings. Buy in the frozen section of the grocery store.
