I got this recipe from Dad Bill. The first time he cooked this for us was when we visited him during the lenten season last year. I don't eat meat during fridays the whole lenten season, so Dad decided to serve us with shrimp. He cooked the Shrimp in Wine and I loved it and since then, it has been one of our favorites.
Ingredients:
1lb shrimp (shelled and deveined)
3tbsp margarine
1medium sized onion (cut in strips)
2tsp parsley
pepper
garlic powder
lemon juice (1/2 piece lemon)
1/2 cup white wine
Directions:
Melt the margarine, add onions, add the shrimp, and stir lightly. Season with pepper, garlic powder. Add parsley. Stir in lemon juice and wine. Bring to boil, cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until juice is thick. ( Note: I add salt to taste)
Serve with rice.
