Binangkal (Sesame Balls)

I love binangkal. Thankfully, a good friend of ours (thanks Jona!) brought this yesterday. We had a feast... before the party....

I have not made binangkal in my whole life. But just in case you want to make one, I found a recipe online.

INGREDIENTS

2 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
3/4 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. water
2 tbsp oil
Sesame seeds

PROCEDURE

  • Sift together dry ingredients.
  • Mix brown sugar, water and oil
  • Add to flour mixture.
  • Mix to blend.
  • With a teaspoon, take bits of batter, then roll in sesame seeds.
  • Fry in deep hot fat until brown.
