Surviving During Economic Recession

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of PBM Products. All opinions are 100% mine.

The prices of basic commodities are increasing rapidly. Gone were the days when you can shop for $20 and you will get a basket full of goodies. You can even barely buy enough groceries for $100 these days. I don't see any improvement in our economic situation that is why I have to find a solution in order to survive in this economic recession. I know it is not only me who felt the effect of the economic recession, according to a survey made by GfK Custom Research North America, 8 out of 10 supermarket shoppers see no improvement in the economy, and 40% say things have actually gotten worse in recent months.

I used to shop for national brand products on all our grocery needs, but when I noticed the big difference of the prices between national products and store brands, I immediately changed my buying habits. In order to deal with the tough economy, 62% of consumers plan to buy more Store Brand products. The frequent buyers of store brands are at an all-time high. Store Brand selections like Parent's Choice compare “very favorably” with other national labels. I don't see any reason why shoppers won't switch to store brand products. Store brand products are of high quality at a lower price. Most shoppers who switched to a Store Brand are happy with their new choice and I am one of those shoppers.

Private Label Manufacturer's Association (PLMA) provides a consumer report about Recession, Recovery & Store Brands which indicates key findings about American consumers who believe that buying store brand products are essential in order to survive in this economic recession. Learn how American consumers change their product choices by reading the consumer report.
