Hormel Chili ... America's Favorite

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Hormel Foods. All opinions are 100% mine.

Quick, easy and healthy... these are what hormel foods stands for. Hormel foods are often seen in an American cupboard because it represents convenience. Hormel has many famous products which include Dinty Moore products which remain, the number one selling stew in the nation. Hormel chili on the other hand, has been filling the plates and bowls of American families for generations. There is no denying that Hormel chili is part of every family gathering.

Much has changed through the years in food industry but Hormel Foods remains to be on top on their quest for quality and innovation. With regards to their advertising, Hormel Foods is always up for a challenge. In the 30s, characters Jiggs and Maggie from “Bringing Up Father” were used in Dinty Moore advertisements. Later, a lumber jack character was introduced, proclaiming “First name’s Dinty, last name’s Moore,” who placed his signature thumbprint on every can. The idea of placing thumbprint on every can makes Hormel Foods easy to recognize and easy to remember. Over the years, utilizing celebrities proved to be a popular route in promoting Hormel chili. Ray Milland, star of “Copper Canyon,” appeared in print ads. In the 80s, pro football player Fran Tarkenton (a very good small and fast football player who took the Vikings to 4 Superbowls) was tapped to promote Hormel chili.

I like Hormel Chili and yes it resides on my kitchen cupboard too! Another favorite of ours is the Dinty Moore Chicken and Dumplings. They are both quick, easy and very tasty. I can't wait for our next family get together because I want to serve them Chili Ole Dip. I found this recipe at Hormel's website. You might want to check them out if you want to know about this and other recipes.
