Review: Wickles Wicked Okra

Okra is a fun vegetable, isn't it? There are so many ways to enjoy okra and I know that when it comes to okra, I can't resist it.

I have never heard of pickled okra until I moved here in the South. Mind you, pickled okra is addictive! I have tried different brands and so far, the Wickles Wicked Okra is on top of the list. Every bite of this product is worth savoring. There is something in each bite that wants you to crave for more. I like the combination of sour, sweet and spicy. It is just delicious!

What makes Wickles wicked okra different is its ingredients. The custom blend of spices and other ingredient is their secret. This pickled okra comes from a 70-year old family recipe that was enjoyed by family and friends who were lucky enough to get a jar. It was only few years ago when they decided to market it because of the demand.

Wickles Wicked okra is wickedly delicious and if you enjoyed them you will surely enjoy their other products like:
  • Wickles Pickles
  • Wickles Relish
  • Hoagie and Sub Relish
  • Wicked Pepper Rings
  • Wicked Pepper Strips

Okra (Bunch of Them!)

Dave saw fresh okra for sale on the side road on the way to Mom. It was so fresh as the seller just harvested it earlier that day. He bought a basket of okra for me because he knows that I love okra. It was a lot of Okra!

Now I am feasting with okra... boiled okra, stir-fry okra and tomorrow I might cook fried okra....

Pickled Okra

I live in the South thus it is easy for me to find pickled okra. Once regarded as a Southern specialty, vitamin-rich okra has increasingly gained national prominence for its unique flavor and texture.

I really enjoy eating pickled okra because of its crunchiness. It is really a good pair for fried fish!

Grilled Okra

Grilled okra dipped with shrimp paste.... who wants some?

Seriously, I used to grill okra when I was in Philippines. I forgot all about grilled okra until last night. So while Dave was grilling chicken I put some okra in the grill and it turned out so good.
